Job summary

Acton-Boxborough Regional School District in Massachusetts seeks a Superintendent of Schools to lead a high-performing district serving Acton and Boxborough. The next leader will drive instructional excellence, equity, and strategic initiatives, building on a history of strong leadership and community engagement.

The candidate will possess licensure eligibility in MA, a minimum of 10 years in public education with leadership, and a Master’s degree (Doctorate preferred).

Qualifications

• MA Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent licensure or eligibility.
• Minimum 10 years in public education with leadership.
• Successful district-level administrator or educational leader.
• Experience leading instructional improvement and organizational change.
• Strong curriculum, assessment, student support knowledge.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and opportunity for all students.
• Experience managing complex budgets and organizational systems.
• Experience developing partnerships with educators, families, communities, governing bodies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Master's degree required; doctorate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for ABRSD with a focus on student success and continuous improvement.
• Oversee district budget, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and governing bodies to advance district goals.
• Drive equity, inclusion, and high-quality educational opportunities for all students.
• Support implementation of instructional initiatives and organizational change across grade levels.
