Job summary

You will review blueprints, calculate material, labor, and vendor costs, and build accurate quotes to move opportunities forward with cross‑functional teams. You will collaborate with sales, engineering, purchasing, design, and scheduling to ensure quotes become successful shipments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with 1–2 years of sales experience and a mechanical background.
• Ability to read/interpret construction or engineering blueprints; CAD experience preferred.
• Strong math and attention to detail to develop accurate estimates and manage multiple project details.
• Strong communication skills; able to work with internal teams and external customers.
• Comfortable negotiating, solving problems, and keeping projects on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Turn customer requests, drawings, and specs into accurate, competitive quotes.
• Read blueprints and technical docs to understand requirements and determine the right GFS solution.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, design, purchasing, scheduling, and shipping from entry to shipment.
• Maintain accurate quotes, orders, change orders, documents, and schedules.
• Balance material costs, labor, vendor pricing, and potential delays affecting profitability.
• Build relationships with sales teams, distributors, customers, and internal partners; provide responsive estimating support.
• Look for opportunities to improve value while meeting customer needs and goals.
• Lead handoffs so awarded projects transition smoothly to execution.
