Job summary

Ericsson’s US Mission Critical Networks unit seeks a Sales Director for the Utilities vertical to own sales strategy, revenue growth, and executive engagement across utility accounts. You will shape multi-year opportunities across our Networks, Cloud/Software Services, Managed Services, and Enterprise Wireless Solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise sales in telecom or critical-infrastructure
• Quota-bearing sales experience with multi-year tech/managed-services deals
• Experience selling to utilities (IOUs, municipal, cooperatives)
• Strong understanding of hyperscaler ecosystems and cloud platforms (Google, AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Understanding of utility buying cycles, RFP/procurement processes, regulatory considerations
• Ability to connect Ericsson solutions to customer outcomes and total cost of ownership
• Ability to lead distributed, cross-functional sales pursuits
• Disciplined pipeline management, CRM hygiene, forecasting
• Bachelor's in Engineering or Business; Master’s preferred
• Willingness to travel up to 50%

Responsibilities

• Own Utilities sales strategy, revenue growth, bookings pipeline, and account priorities
• Partner with KAM teams to develop account plans and joint engagement plans
• Build and advance a sustainable pipeline of new-logo, modernization, expansion, and managed-services opportunities
• Position Ericsson as a strategic technology partner in connectivity, private LTE/5G, resilient networks
• Develop trusted relationships with utility executives, IT/OT, grid operations, cybersecurity, procurement
• Lead the commercial sales cycle from qualification to negotiation, contracting, and close
• Translate utility strategies into differentiated sales offers
• Coordinate with solution, product, delivery, services, legal, finance, and partners on proposals
• Maintain relationships with ecosystem partners and third-party providers
• Drive expansion across private networks, RAN, Core, IP transport, cloud, OSS/BSS, managed services, and enterprise wireless
