Job summary

Vanir Construction Management, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Safety Manager to oversee safety programs across projects from a corporate office perspective.

You will review standards, develop site-specific plans, and drive incident investigations, reporting, and policy development. The role requires OSHA-30 certification, six plus years in construction safety, and the ability to train staff and manage safety documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environment Health and Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent technical area of study is preferred
• 6+ years of experience in the construction industry with an emphasis in safety
• Ground-up vertical commercial building construction knowledge (office buildings, schools, jails, courthouses, fire/police stations, or hospital type projects)
• OSHA-30 Certified
• Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
• Valid Driver's license is required
• Ability to represent Vanir and related entities in a professional manner at all times to ensure company policies and procedures as well as compliance to all applicable laws and regulations

Responsibilities

• Observe and report on day-to-day safety, health, and related operations
• Develop and implement site-specific health and safety plans according to guidelines
• Participate in incident investigations and prepare reports
• Recommend safety improvements and new prevention measures
• Research safety regulations and implement changes for compliance
• Manage and update safety documentation
• Prepare safety meeting materials and record minutes
• Conduct training and presentations on health, safety, and accident prevention
• Manage PPE distribution
• Work independently with minimal guidance on safety reviews
• Travel up to 10%
