Job summary

Food Bank for the Heartland is seeking a Transportation Routing and Services Coordinator in Omaha, NE. This role combines daily route planning, driver support, customer-service problem solving, and transportation documentation, with occasional relief driving to keep routes moving safely and reliably across our 93-county service area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years’ experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, or a related field.
• CDL Class B preferred; CDL Class A strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and adjust daily delivery and pickup routes based on partner and donor requirements, driver availability, vehicle capacity, product needs, delivery windows, weather, and priorities.
• Serve as a relief driver during high-volume periods and complete driver responsibilities safely.
• Plan transportation support for special events, large donor pickups, volunteer surge days, emergencies, and non-routine needs.
• Monitor route progress, respond to changes, and coordinate with drivers, CSRs, and internal teams.
