Job summary

Food Bank for the Heartland is seeking a Transportation Routing & Services Coordinator in Omaha, NE. This role combines daily route planning, driver support, customer‑service problem solving, and documentation across a 93‑county service area.

You will handle routing decisions, schedule changes, and coordination with drivers, CSR staff, and partner organizations. The position requires hands‑on involvement, driving when needed, and strong attention to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years’ experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, or a related field required.
• CDL Class B preferred; CDL Class A strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and adjust daily delivery and pickup routes based on partner and donor requirements, driver availability, vehicle capacity, product needs, delivery windows, weather, and priorities.
• Serve as a relief driver during high‑volume periods and be able to operate box trucks safely.
• Plan transportation support for events and special pickups.
• Monitor route progress and coordinate solutions with drivers and internal teams.
