Job summary

Colorado Springs School District 11(co) is seeking a Risk Manager to lead district-wide risk management and safety initiatives within the Talent Management department. The role reports to the Senior Executive Director, Talent Management, with 1.0 FTE and a 260-days-per-year schedule.

The position oversees Workers’ Compensation, General and Professional Liability, and Property/Vehicle insurance, and manages budget, reporting, and compliance with laws and contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, administration, or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in program management, operations, or administration.
• Leadership experience supervising staff and project teams (2-3 years preferred).
• Preferred certification (e.g., SHRM, PMP) and bilingual ability.

• Lead and manage district-level programs aligned with strategic priorities.
• Oversee daily operations and ensure high-quality service.
• Supervise staff, coach teams, and support professional growth.
