Job summary

Crane Elementary School District 13 is seeking a Director of Safety and Risk Management to provide leadership and strategic oversight of the district’s safety, security, emergency preparedness, and risk management programs. This role focuses on workers’ compensation, claims administration, insurance, loss prevention, and emergency communications, reporting to the Chief of Finance and Operations.

Provides leadership for safety, security, emergency preparedness and risk management programs.
Oversees development and evaluation of policies related to safety and insurance.
Leads emergency management planning and district-wide safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee comprehensive safety, security, emergency preparedness, and emergency management programs for the District.
Develop, review, maintain, and train Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs) and related procedures.
Coordinate emergency drills and response activities and ensure documentation and corrective actions are completed.
Provide safety and security training to staff and administrators; serve as a liaison with law enforcement and emergency responders.
Supervise assigned personnel and ensure security systems and safety measures are current and effective.
Collaborate with district leaders to promote consistent safety practices and compliance with applicable laws.
