Job summary

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for the Risk Management Coordinator, Administrative Services. The role safeguards operations by administering risk programs, handling claims, supporting investigations, and improving safety strategies.

Under supervision, you will manage claims life cycles, liaise with campus partners and counsel, oversee fleet coverage, and participate in risk reviews and training opportunities to support institutional risk management goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, insurance, or paralegal studies with credentials before start date.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience or four extra years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience in higher education or public sector is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer routine property, auto, liability, and workers' compensation claims from start to resolution.
• Gather documentation to support tort investigations and liaise with legal offices.
• Manage UNLV fleet insurance and movable equipment coverage and record-keeping.
• Log events for risk review and collaborate on mitigation and training opportunities.
• Provide coverage and support for specialty units and credential verifications.
