The ideal candidate will combine technical insurance knowledge with strong relationship-building, advisory skills, and leadership experience guiding teams and projects across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Legal Studies, Insurance, or related field.
• Experience administering insurance programs, claims management, or risk transfer documents.
• Strong judgment in evaluating risk exposures and recommending practical solutions.
• Experience leading teams or coordinating cross-departmental projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage university's insurance program with brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
• Administer claims process and liaise with counsel on resolution.
• Oversee automotive self-insurance program and prepare leadership reports.
• Supervise risk reviews, COI, and other risk-related processes.
• Review contracts, leases, and insurance language for exposures.
• Oversee volunteer registration and related reporting.
• Analyze risk exposures and develop policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
