University of Central Florida is seeking a collaborative and strategic Manager, Risk and Insurance to safeguard the university’s mission through management of insurance programs, claims administration, and stakeholder consultation.

The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with relationship-building, navigating complex risk and insurance matters and supporting informed decision-making across the university.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in risk management, insurance programs, or claims administration preferred.
• Strong judgment in evaluating risk exposures and providing practical solutions.
• Experience leading teams or coordinating cross‑department projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage university insurance program with brokers, carriers, and stakeholders.
• Administer claims process and liaison with brokers and counsel on resolutions.
• Oversee automotive self-insurance program, incident reviews, and reporting.
• Supervise risk review tasks, COI management, and related processes.
• Review contracts and leases for insurance language and liability exposure.
• Oversee volunteer registration and related reporting across departments.
• Analyze risk exposures and develop strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in developing presentations and training materials on risk topics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
