Job summary

LaunchDarkly is seeking a Senior Director of Revenue Accounting and OTC Operations to lead our global revenue accounting organization. You will partner across GTM, Legal, Deal Desk and Product to define the strategy for quoting and contracting, while building scalable, compliant processes and systems.

You will own revenue, billing, collections, and commissions accounting, ensure accurate close and reporting, and drive controls and SOX readiness in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of accounting experience incl. Big 4 and industry leadership.
• Experience with multi-entity and public-company SOX controls.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 in revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Lead global revenue accounting and OTC operations and shape the controllership roadmap.
• Own accounting for all revenue streams and commissions; manage monthly, quarterly, annual close.
• Serve as the revenue recognition SME to executives and GTM partners.
• Collaborate with Data for ARR/ACV metrics and with FP&A on forecasts.
• Define contract structures with GTM/Deal Management/Legal/Product for scalable deals.
• Strengthen internal controls, SOX readiness, and remediation efforts.
• Oversee annual external audit for revenue areas.
• Design scalable OTC workflows and ERP/system improvements.
• Partner with Technology on ERP enhancements and reporting.
• Build management reports and KPIs for visibility into efficiency.
• Mentor and retain a high-performing accounting team.
• Balance governance with practical business problem solving.
