LaunchDarkly is seeking a Senior Director, Assistant Controller to lead and scale the global accounting function during its next growth phase. This role partners across Revenue, Finance, Legal, HR and IT to build a best-in-class controllership operation with strong controls and scalable processes.

Qualifications

• 12+ years accounting experience including Big 4 and industry leadership in multi-entity SOX environment.
• Hands-on ERP systems, reporting and automation improvements experience (NetSuite preferred).
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, foreign currency accounting, internal controls and close processes.
• Proven success leading teams through scale, process improvements and change.
• Experience building accounting ops in fast-growth SaaS/tech.
• Demonstrated cross-functional partnership with Finance and other functions.
• Executive presence with clear communication to senior leaders and auditors.
• Ability to lead strategic vision while executing in detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead global accounting function and controllership roadmap aligned to growth.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, annual close, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statements including equity rollforward and cash flow statements.
• Manage GL, AP, payroll and equity administration with proper controls.
• Oversee intercompany and international accounting and third-party teams.
• Serve as US GAAP/IFRS SME; research and memo complex accounting matters.
• Lead SOX readiness, process documentation and remediation efforts as needed.
• Coordinate annual external audit and liaise with auditors.
• Design scalable accounting processes and automation to support high growth.
• Partner with IT and business on ERP enhancements and reporting.
• Develop management reporting and KPIs for visibility into close performance.
• Mentor and retain high-performing accounting team; foster governance culture.
