Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a senior pricing leader to oversee corporate lifecycle pricing strategies, price management systems, and guardrails. You will partner with Merchandising and Buyers to align pricing with category goals and promotions.

The role requires strong analytics, leadership experience, and proficiency with SAS, SQL, and Revionics. You will mentor analysts and deliver actionable pricing insights to senior leadership from Grand Rapids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or equivalent experience required.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• 5+ years of pricing or analytical experience in retail.
• Proficient in analytical, quantitative techniques and tools.
• Experience with SAS, SPSS, Stata.
• Experience with Nielsen, Microstrategy, SQL.
• Experience with price management tools Revionics and DemandTec.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Prior leadership/management experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to mentor and lead a team of analysts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee lifecycle pricing strategies, price management systems, rules, standards and guidelines.
• Partner with Merchandising GVPs/VPs, DMMs and Buyers to develop pricing strategies.
• Ensure pricing strategies are executed consistently with product and promotional plans.
• Influence decisions using pricing research tools and guardrails to protect price perception.
• Mentor and develop a team of Pricing Analysts with stretch goals.
• Develop data, reporting, and system enhancements for pricing governance.
• Prepare scorecards and ad hoc reports for senior leadership.
• Communicate pricing trends and insights to business partners.
