Job summary

Meijer is seeking a hands-on Pricing Leader to direct lifecycle pricing strategies across national and own-brand lines. You will partner with Merchandising, Finance and R&D to craft guardrails, model impact on sales and margins, and ensure consistent execution of pricing programs.

The role emphasizes mentoring a team of pricing analysts and delivering actionable insights to senior leadership. You will influence pricing decisions using Nielsen, research data, and pricing tools while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of pricing or analytical experience in retail.
• Proficient in analytical, quantitative, and statistical techniques and tools to derive insights from large, complex data environments.
• Experience with statistical analysis software packages (e.g. SAS, SPSS, Stata).
• Experience with insights, research and recording tools (e.g. Nielsen, Microstrategy, SQL).
• Experience with price management tools (e.g. Revionics, DemandTec).
• Excellent communication skills: listening, verbal and written.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Strong work ethic complemented with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Prior leadership/management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with other Business Units to achieve financial goals.
• Influence pricing strategies with merchandising stakeholders to deliver ROI.
• Provide solutions to support pricing initiatives while protecting customer price perception and gaining market share.
• Develop pricing strategies for national and own brand programs.
• Model impact of price strategies on sales, margin, and share.
• Collaborate with pricing managers to establish a competitive check schedule.
• Ensure lifecycle pricing strategies are implemented and maintained.
• Define data, reporting and system enhancements for pricing recommendations.
