Job summary

The Whitaker Group in Matthews, NC is seeking a Retail & Warehouse Inventory Lead to oversee inventory accuracy and operational workflows across multiple locations. You will optimize stock levels, coordinate with supply chain and store teams, and drive initiatives to reduce shrinkage and improve profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail inventory management or retail operations.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and POS systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor inventory levels across multiple retail locations to ensure optimal stock availability and accuracy.
• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and store management teams to forecast demand and plan replenishment schedules.
• Lead operational audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory integrity and identify discrepancies promptly.
• Develop and implement process improvements to streamline inventory management and retail operations.
• Train and support retail staff on inventory control procedures and operational best practices.
• Analyze inventory data and operational metrics to generate reports and provide actionable insights to senior management.
• Coordinate with loss prevention teams to minimize shrinkage and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Oversee daily operational activities to ensure adherence to company standards and customer service excellence.
