Job summary

UT Health San Antonio’s Office of Sponsored Programs seeks a contract specialist to assist in negotiating and executing sponsored research agreements, clinical study agreements, and sub-awards. The role requires collaboration with faculty and staff to finalize terms and ensure policy compliance.

Under general supervision, you will negotiate terms with for-profit and other sectors, review agreements for compliance, and maintain confidential handling of sensitive information while coordinating

Qualifications

• Experience in agreement negotiations or sponsored programs preferred.
• Ability to communicate in a courteous, pleasant and professional manner.
• Self-motivated and directed with quick learning.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality; follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with faculty and staff to prepare agreements.
• Negotiate contract terms and financial issues with for-profit and other sectors.
• Review agreements for Institutional policy compliance.
• Negotiate and finalize clinical studies, disclosures, and testing agreements.
• Interact with faculty and other departments to resolve contract issues.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
