UMB Bank is seeking a part-time remote Corporate Trust Specialist to support a group of clients with trustee relationships. Responsibilities include handling complex admin tasks, ensuring compliance, and coordinating with senior staff to resolve issues.

The role requires strong client management, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple projects. Bachelor's degree and related experience are required; Master’s and CCTS certification are preferred.

• Responsible for accurate/timely setup of issues on all systems, preparing accounts for compliance review and responding appropriately to compliance exceptions.
• Resolves complex administrative issues and provide support to senior level client staff.
• May provide support to clients outside assigned group.
• Operate independently to service the client and resolve complex/unusual issues.
• Provides day to day support to existing institutional/corporate trust accounts including but not limited to: billing for administrative fees, recommending fee increases, facilitating transaction closing, handling cash and investment transactions, monitoring cash activities and compliance items, providing debt service calculations, executing payment generation and follow-up, approving payments, dissemination of financial information and administration of the trust as outlined in the governing documents.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and represent the team in ongoing projects and efficiencies.
• Provide guidance, mentorship and development to all levels of staff, particularly the assigned Associate Relationship Manager.
• Recommend and submit new business for approval from the new business committee made up of the senior leadership team in Corporate Trust.
• Price business based on account structure compared to existing business working with Business Development Officer as needed.
• Review legal documents to ensure operational mechanics are appropriate.
• Work with corporate legal, compliance and outside legal counsel to negotiate document provisions.
• Participate in cross training to learn other Corporate Trust roles and provide support, as needed.
