Job summary

Valley Bank in Tampa seeks a seasoned Commercial Lending Relationship Manager to grow client base and deepen existing relationships. You will lead credit analysis, negotiate loan terms, and manage the full loan closing process with a focus on profitability and risk control.

Responsibilities include expanding COI networks, cross-selling products, and maintaining robust credit oversight while delivering exceptional service to clients in a growth-focused community bank.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities; proven prospecting experience.
• Ability to review, analyze, and structure commercial loans with cross-selling.
• Proficient in credit underwriting, basic accounting, and loan documentation; training preferred.
• Capable of working independently or in a team to achieve department goals.
• Proficient in MS Word/Excel/Outlook; experience with Salesforce/nCino.
• Familiarity with professional business practices and appearance.

Responsibilities

• Business development focusing on acquiring new clients and expanding relationships.
• Develop external referral sources/COIs to attract new clients.
• Maintain and service portfolios; cross-sell other bank products for profitability.
• Negotiate loan terms and structure credit facilities per policy; prepare credit packages.
• Ensure up-to-date financial information is on file and monitor credit quality.
• Lead loan closings ensuring documents reflect agreed terms and signatures.
