Job summary

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze and document all referral requests.
• Obtain appropriate authorizations for all plans (managed care, Medicaid, Medicare).
• Coordinate scheduling of referred-to specialty and communicate with Specialty Office and patient.
• Prioritize daily queue to optimize scheduling and ensure documentation is complete in Epic.
• Maintain reference information on assigned specialties and serve as a knowledgeable resource.
• Answer telephone calls from patients seeking new physicians and match to geographic area, insurance and medical needs.
