Qualifications

• Approximately 7-8 years of relevant real estate experience; level may be flexible for an exceptional candidate.
• Experience in real estate investment, acquisitions, dispositions, underwriting, brokerage or a related field.
• National homebuilder experience preferred.
• Single Family Land Experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to evaluate risk and return and translate analysis into useful recommendations.
• Understanding of the real estate investment lifecycle; experience with land and development is a plus.
• Experience working with brokers, buyers, sellers and/or transaction counterparties.

Responsibilities

• Work with the CIO and EVP to develop and execute strategies for existing and prospective real estate investments.
• Analyze investment opportunities, including underwriting, financial returns, sensitivities, market conditions and potential risks.
• Support and manage acquisitions and dispositions from evaluation and negotiation through due diligence and closing.
• Coordinate brokers, consultants and internal teams in the acquisition, positioning and sale of assets.
• Support asset marketing, including offering materials, data rooms and transaction documentation.
• Monitor investments and market conditions and identify opportunities to improve returns, reduce risk or adjust strategy.
• Review transaction, entitlement and other project-related documents with a commercial mindset and identify issues requiring further analysis or specialist input.
• Maintain frequent, proactive communication with leadership and project teams, ensuring material developments, deadlines, risks and decisions are communicated quickly and clearly.
