Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Development Manager to lead land development initiatives from inception through approvals, coordinating architects, engineers, and consultants across the region. You will drive feasibility, schedules, budgeting, and stakeholder communications to ensure timely project delivery.

Responsibilities include presenting to planning bodies, securing site plan approvals, and guiding complex land-use processes for store developments, relocations, and multi-state rollouts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of development management in commercial construction or as an Owner’s Representative.
• Experience with Feasibility / Due Diligence, Site Planning, Permitting, Entitlements, Land Use.
• Proven ability to coordinate with local municipalities to pursue site plan / zoning approvals.
• Certifications such as PMP, PE, AIA, LEED, CMAA are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop tailored development schedules for land lease/acquisition projects.
• Lead architects and engineers to confirm site viability and permits.
• Present at staff/board meetings to pursue zoning approvals.
• Oversee surveys (Title, ALTA, Geotech, Environmental) for land sites.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and travel 25–50% as needed.
• Monitor budgets and schedules; provide regular progress reports.
