Job summary

Terra, a Miami-based real estate development company, seeks a Development Associate to join the team. You will support the Senior Development Manager in moving development projects from inception to completion, coordinating consultants, preparing budgets and schedules, and underwriting deals with internal stakeholders.

The role involves due diligence, market research, design coordination, and tracking progress against milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Economics or Real Estate.
• Advanced knowledge of Blue Beam.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Development Manager with executing the company’s development project pipeline from inception to completion.
• Coordinate consultants and internal team members to develop and collect applicable documents for entitlements and permits.
• Assist in collecting and assembling information for underwriting proposed deals and building financial models.
• Interface with internal stakeholders to define project requirements and budgets.
• Assist in preparing budgets, schedules, and execution strategy for entitlements and permits.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to reduce them.
• Manage due diligence efforts and coordinate with finance on due diligence.
• Coordinate market research with finance, leasing, sales and marketing teams.
• Assist in selecting and managing the design team and drawings for budgeting and scoping.
• Track progress against goals, budgets, and timelines; report variances and adjust as needed.
• Develop project schedules and maintain development calendars.
• Create and maintain development schedules for deliverables.
• Coordinate branding and marketing efforts.
• Secure permits and coordinate permit processes.
• Coordinate with legal counsel on consultant agreements.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Economics or Real Estate
