Terra, a Miami-based award-winning real estate developer, seeks a Sr. Project Controller to lead financial oversight across a diversified project portfolio.

You will partner with the VP of Accounting Operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting from construction draws to investor updates, while mentoring accountants and driving process improvements. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 7–10 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in GAAP.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Real Estate accounting experience (5+ years).
• Proven success managing a team (two+ accountants).
• Preferred CPA.

Responsibilities

• Manage files for tax preparers and tax return status.
• Coordinate year-end journal entries and tax preparers’ entries; roll forward Yardi entities.
• Coordinate final review of 1099 spreadsheets.
• Manage new company entries in accounting software and user access.
• Coordinate review of operating agreements for capital contributions and tax prep.
• Oversee project financial audits and cash requirements.
• Prepare financial statements and reviews; monitor tangible tax returns.
• Manage bank accounts, wire transfers, and access for staff.
