Realty Operations Group in New York, NY is seeking an experienced real estate professional to join our asset management team as an Associate. You will provide strategic financial and operational insights to improve portfolio performance and support decision-making across property management and accounting teams.

The role emphasizes budgeting, reporting, variance analyses, and monitoring leasing and operating metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 3–5 years in real estate asset management with multifamily exposure preferred.
• Advanced Excel with budgeting and financial modeling skills.
• Ability to balance detail with big-picture thinking and communicate insights.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed annual budgets, monthly/quarterly reporting, forecasts and capital plans.
• Monitor leasing, occupancy, operating expenses and capital expenditures.
• Develop custom financial/operational reports to support initiatives.
• Review reports for accuracy; highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Research market trends and benchmark against competitors to inform decisions.
• Track capital projects ensuring scope, timing, and ROI alignment.
• Deliver asset reporting to Asset Manager on metrics and milestones.
• Support system enhancements, process improvements and special projects.
• Mentor junior analysts as applicable.
