Job summary

Lefrak Organization Inc. is seeking an experienced real estate asset management professional in New York. The Associate will support budgeting, reporting, and financial forecasting across an 18,000+ unit multifamily portfolio in NY, NJ, and FL.

You will collaborate with leadership, Property Management, and Accounting to drive portfolio performance, deliver insights, and improve processes. Strong Excel, business acumen, and Yardi experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of real estate asset management experience.
• Advanced Excel with budgets and financial models.
• Strong business acumen and analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication skills to influence and partner with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with Yardi or similar property management/accounting systems preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy.
• High accountability and collaborative team approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of detailed annual budgets, monthly/quarterly reporting, forecasts, capital plans, and variance analyses.
• Monitor leasing, pricing, occupancy, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
• Develop and maintain customized financial and operational reports to support initiatives and cost management.
• Review analyst reports for accuracy and communicate key trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Research economic, demographic, and industry trends and benchmark against competitors for actionable insights.
• Track capital projects and renovations ensuring alignment with scope, timing, and ROI.
• Deliver clear asset reporting to the Asset Manager on key metrics and milestones.
• Support system enhancements, process improvements, and special projects as needed.
• Mentor and guide junior analysts as applicable.
