Job summary

Saint-Gobain's Houston facility is seeking a Raw Material Planner to coordinate and manage incoming raw materials for the cellulose manufacturing plant. You will ensure materials are ordered, received, stored, and monitored to support uninterrupted production.

You will partner with plant leadership, purchasing, and operations to maintain inventory accuracy, lead cycle counts, and optimize material flow, while leveraging SAP and MS Office to track usage and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of purchasing and/or materials management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer skills necessary to fulfill position requirements.
• Strong mathematical abilities and analytical thinking.
• Self-motivated professional with initiative and strong organizational skills.
• SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and order cellulose-based raw materials, paper fiber, packaging, and production supplies to support uninterrupted plant production.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, physical inventories, and verification of receipts, issues, transfers, and consumption.
• Complete month-end inventory reconciliations and process usage corrections, material variances, and inventory adjustments per site procedures.
• Oversee purchasing activities, monitor supplier performance and shortages, maintain vendor relationships, and coordinate material requirements with internal departments.
