Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc. is seeking a Raw Material Planner to ensure the right inventory levels at the right time to support the production schedule and working capital targets.

You will manage raw materials procurement, vendor relationships, and cross-functional collaboration to meet weekly production needs and plant performance in Springdale, PA. The role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and requires onsite work in Springdale.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of planning/buying experience for raw materials or finished goods
• Or 5+ years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing facility
• ERP experience (Oracle/SAP) preferred
• Advanced Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP) and BI/SQL skills a plus

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders with vendors and track deliveries through the cycle and forecast inventory for a rolling 12 months
• Analyze MRP and procurement for 1–6 months with focus on short to medium term
• Communicate supply concerns and collaborate with supply chain ops and procurement from discovery through resolution
• Ensure raw material availability to meet Oracle timing requirements and support weekly production schedules
• Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and supplier quality to resolve receipt/invoice issues
• Maintain allocated raw material inventory health
