Saab, Inc. in East Syracuse, NY is seeking a Principal Program Manager to drive profitable program execution within the Surveillance U.S. division and to shape growth in radar system domains.

The role requires deep program management expertise, strong leadership across functions, and an ability to pursue opportunities while ensuring cost, schedule, and technical performance align with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and 20+ years experience, OR MA/MS and 18+ years, OR PhD and 16+ years experience.
• Experience negotiating multi-million-dollar agreements.
• Advanced knowledge of program management standards (scheduling, cost accounting, EVMS, Risk/Opportunity management).
• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically up to 15%.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Specifically accountable for cost, schedule and technical performance of assigned Program portfolios.
• Establish and control program budgets aligned with program needs.
• Establish and control program schedules to meet milestones.
• Establish and maintain depot capabilities to support Saab products.
• Manage NRE labor and material procurements.
• Coordinate facility requirements definitions.
• Oversee maintenance, repair and operational support of Saab products including logistics and data.
• Ensure projects are managed within approved program management processes.
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities across cost, schedule and technical.
• Provide leadership to program execution staff for high-quality delivery.
• Monitor and guide junior managers to deliver high-quality products and services.
