Job summary

Saab is seeking a Principal Program Manager to lead profitable execution of surveillance programs from its East Syracuse, NY office. You will oversee multi-domain radar and ATM systems across defense, civil aviation, and commercial markets.

The role requires extensive program management experience, senior stakeholder engagement, and ability to travel 10–15% annually; U.S. citizenship and security clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline is required; Master’s degree/MBA is preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in surveillance systems and related programs.
• Experience transitioning production between locations.
• Experience in Risk and Opportunity management.
• Experience with surveillance defense programs and contracting processes (EVMS, FAR, OTAs, SAPs, CRADAs).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for assigned program portfolios including cost, schedule, technical performance and profitability.
• Establish program strategy, budgets, execution plans and performance metrics; use EVMS for reporting.
• Lead multidisciplinary programs across design, development, manufacturing, integration, deployment and sustainment of radar/ATM systems.
• Drive growth by identifying opportunities and developing competitive proposals.
• Build relationships with FAA, international aviation bodies, military and industry primes.
