Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a senior QSP leader to shape mechanistic PK-PD and QSP modeling across our oncology portfolio. You will guide a team of quantitative scientists, collaborate across discovery, translational, and clinical groups, and ensure regulatory-grade deliverables to inform dosing, combinations, and trial design.

The role requires extensive modeling expertise, oncology knowledge, and a track record of influencing program decisions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience developing mechanistic PK-PD and QSP models for clinical decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams/taskforces or oversee others.
• Oncology therapeutic area knowledge.
• Experience with QSP modeling in IND/NDA and regulatory submissions.
• Experience working with external QSP vendors.
• Proficiency with modeling/simulation packages (MATLAB, R, SimBiology, Python).

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape the QSP strategy across the oncology portfolio, aligned with program goals and priorities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quantitative scientists in a matrixed role.
• Collaborate with diverse functions to apply mechanistic/QSP modeling for dose selection, combos, and trial design.
• Ensure high-quality, regulatory-grade QSP deliverables for internal decisions and submissions.
• Contribute to regulatory strategy via QSP reports and briefing documents.
• Foster scientific rigor and develop best practices for QSP modeling.
• Partner with Translational Modeling to define modeling strategies impacting program design.
• Represent the company at conferences and external collaborations.
• Stay current on emerging QSP methodologies and promote innovation.
• Manage budget planning, QSP vendor identification, outsourcing, and contracting.
