Job summary

Cooley LLP is seeking a Pursuit & Proposals Specialist to join the Marketing and Client Development team. The role supports pursuit, pitch, and proposal execution for priority opportunities, shaping win strategy and coaching teams to build a scalable pursuit model.

Responsibilities include coordinating pursuit workflows, tailoring content to client needs, and ensuring materials align with messaging and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years applicable experience in marketing or business development, preferably in pursuits and proposals.
• Experience writing and editing proposals.
• Working knowledge of pursuit technologies (Templify and Foundation).

Responsibilities

• Proposal & Pitch Production: Develop high-impact proposals and pitch materials and deliver on time for high-priority opportunities.
• Tactical Workflow Coordination: Manage daily pursuit tasks to ensure support and materials across the firm.
• Win Strategy Support: Apply win themes, positioning, and messaging reflecting each opportunity’s differentiators.
• Client-Specific Content Alignment: Tailor pursuit materials to client needs and value proposition.
• High-Importance Pursuit Execution: Provide hands-on support for the firm’s largest pursuits.
• Pursuit Project Coordination: Track timelines, workstreams, and inputs for large pursuits.
• Operational Support & Tool Utilization: Use and maintain pursuit tools and templates for efficiency.
• Process Compliance & Best Practices: Apply firm templates and best practices to every project.
