Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a Pursuit Strategist to join the Brand, Marketing and Business Development (BMBD) team. You will influence strategy, craft compelling narratives, and lead strategy sessions to win significant project pursuits.

You will collaborate with leaders, designers and market teams to transform data into persuasive storytelling, ensuring compliant, readable pursuit materials and impactful client presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of related work experience; 10+ preferred.
• Experience in proposal management influencing strategy and content for a professional services firm.
• Experience in Architecture, Engineering and/or Construction industry preferred.
• Proficiency with InDesign, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy development for firm’s most significant and complex project pursuits.
• Develop an action plan including decision-maker profiles, competitor analysis and market research.
• Create win plans, strategic teaming plans and go/no-go strategy reviews.
• Facilitate strategy sessions/workshops and drive client-ready strategy.
• Ensure readability and messaging quality of pursuit materials.
• Collaborate with leaders to align objectives for strategy sessions.
• Develop differentiators, value propositions and key messages.
• Translate messaging into a compelling narrative with visuals.
• Coach rehearsals for client presentations and interviews.
