Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Marketing Pursuit Director to lead strategic pursuit planning across markets and service lines. The role partners with firm leaders, seller/doers, and technical teams to craft differentiated win strategies and compelling client messaging.

The ideal candidate brings 12+ years in professional services marketing, strong facilitation, and a track record of guiding proposals from strategy to interview, with CPSM preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in professional services marketing, pursuit management, or business development; preferably AEC.
• Experience leading complex pursuits from strategy through proposal and interview.
• Strong capture planning, client positioning, and competitive intelligence skills.
• Ability to coach teams on persuasive communication and interview performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic pursuit planning for priority opportunities across markets and service lines.
• Facilitate pursuit strategy workshops and alignment sessions with cross-functional teams.
• Develop messaging strategies for major proposals, interviews, and client opportunities.
• Guide capture planning and pre-positioning activities with project leaders and technical teams.
• Mentor marketing professionals to build strategic thinking and client-focused communication.
