Job summary

Benesch seeks a Marketing Pursuit Director to lead strategic pursuits across markets, partnering with firm leaders and technical teams to develop differentiated win strategies and compelling client messaging. This leadership role drives capture planning, proposal development, and interview coaching to position Benesch for high-impact opportunities.

The ideal candidate brings 12+ years in professional services marketing, CPSM preferred, and a proven ability to mentor teams while aligning pursuit

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in professional services marketing or related field.
• Experience leading complex high-value pursuits from strategy to interview.
• Strong capture planning and proposal development skills.
• Ability to coach staff on persuasive communication and storytelling.
• Deep understanding of client procurement processes and market trends.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic pursuit planning for priority opportunities across markets and service lines.
• Facilitate pursuit strategy workshops, kickoff meetings, and reviews.
• Develop messaging strategies for major proposals, interviews, and client opportunities.
• Guide capture planning with project leaders and technical teams.
• Coach teams on persuasive communication and client-focused messaging.
• Lead interview strategy development and presentation coaching for shortlisted pursuits.
• Establish best practices for pursuit planning and content quality.
• Mentor and develop marketing professionals to strengthen strategy and execution.
• Analyze pursuit outcomes to identify trends and improvements.
