Job summary

Craft Master Custom Pools in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a full-time Purchasing professional to own material spend from order to site. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and maintain strict inventory discipline to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

You will coordinate deliveries, track costs by category, ensure accurate job costing in our system, and supervise warehouse layout and cycle counts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in purchasing, procurement, materials management or warehouse management; construction, building products, pool supply or trade distribution preferred.
• Negotiate with vendors, not just place orders at list price.
• Real inventory discipline; cycle counts valued over annual counts.
• Comfort with physical tasks: lifting up to 50 lbs, forklift use or certification.
• Strong spreadsheet and software skills; JobTread used for purchasing and job costing.

Responsibilities

• Own vendor relationships and pricing; negotiate terms and consolidate spend for multiple jobs.
• Purchase pool equipment, tile, coping, plaster, decking and related components; ensure right product, right job, right date.
• Coordinate deliveries so materials arrive with the trade, in time for scheduling.
• Track material cost as a percent of contract value; alert on drift and deviations.
• Code every purchase to the correct job in JobTread; maintain accurate job-level margin reporting.
• Oversee warehouse layout, organization, safety; ensure item findability under 2 minutes.
• Handle receiving and verification against purchase orders; manage short shipments and damaged items.
• Stage materials by job; ensure complete kits for crews; track left items and dates.
• Manage returns, credits and warranty parts with Service department; coordinate with vendors.
• Track tools, equipment and fleet; maintain location and condition records.
