Job summary

Hawai`i State Judiciary in Honolulu seeks a Purchasing & Specifications Specialist II to perform purchasing, standards and specifications development, and contracts procurement within the centralized purchasing program.

As an advanced trainee, you will work with users and vendors to identify requirements, draft and update specifications, manage formal bids, and ensure compliance with bonding, insurance, and related procurement rules. Salary rate effective July 1, 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 1/2 year of professional purchasing experience with vendors, drafting specs, and formal bidding.
• Knowledge of bonding, indemnification, insurance, and procurement documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform purchasing, standards and specifications development, and contracts procurement within the centralized program.
• Work with users and vendors to identify requirements and draft/update specifications.
• Manage formal bids and ensure compliance with procurement rules and documentation.
