Hawai'i State Judiciary seeks a Purchasing & Specifications Specialist III to perform moderately difficult work in governmental purchasing, standards and specifications development, and contracts procurement for a range of commodities and services in the judiciary's centralized program.
The role involves independent analysis of user requirements, drafting specifications, and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations. Substitutions for education and experience are allowed as noted.

Independently performs moderately difficult work in governmental purchasing, standards and specifications development, and contracts procurement work for commodities and services that are not highly technical and complex to complex purchases of new technical equipment or services within the Judiciary's centralized purchasing program; makes independent analysis of users requirements and prepares appropriate specifications, terms and conditions; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Excess experience of the type and quality described below, or administrative, professional, technical or other responsible work which required a high level of analytical skills may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
Applicants for Purchasing and Specifications Specialist III must have had experience in the independent development of moderately complex specifications for formal purchasing and have participated in the development of complex specifications.
