Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in supply chain management, purchasing and commercial coordination
• Negotiation skills are essential for securing best value
• Strong communication skills required across teams and vendors
• Experience with SAP purchasing procedures is preferred
• Ability to mentor or train other purchase agents would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Assist in placement of large purchase orders and negotiate purchases
• Support Category Managers in securing goods and services at best value
• Adhere to Purchasing policies and procedures
• Execute buying strategies defined by Purchasing Management
• Partner with buyers and agents as necessary
• Understand Kraton domestic production facilities for procurement operations
• Evaluate vendor reliability and follow up on issues with purchased items
