Job summary

Kraton is seeking an experienced purchasing professional to support our Belpre, Ohio operations. The role focuses on procurement for production, negotiating purchases, and ensuring value and compliance across facilities.

You will collaborate with Category Managers, buyers, and suppliers, implement buying strategies, and help mentor junior staff. A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor’s in supply chain preferred, and 3–5 years’ relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, purchasing, and commercial coordination.
• Strong negotiating and communication skills.
• Experience with SAP purchasing procedures.
• Ability to mentor or train other purchase agents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in placing large purchase orders and negotiate smaller items.
• Support Category Managers in securing goods and services at best value.
• Ensure adherence to Purchasing policies and procedures.
• Execute buying strategies as defined by Purchasing Management.
• Partner with buyers and agents as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of Kraton's domestic production facilities.
• Evaluate vendor reliability and address issues with purchases.
