Job summary

High Concrete Group LLC in Springboro, Ohio is seeking a Buyer to provide strategic and tactical procurement support for direct/indirect materials across operations. You will use SAP, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and monitor market trends to secure favorable pricing for over $200M in annual revenue.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in procurement, a bachelor’s in business or SCM, and APICS certification preferred. Travel is <10% and the company offers strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of tactical and strategic procurement/supply chain experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, SCM, Operations Management, or equivalent experience
• APICS Certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred or willingness to pursue
• Proficient in MRP/ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and ability to analyze/compile/organize complex data
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent contract negotiation and supplier management skills
• Ability to travel (<10% of time)

Responsibilities

• Use SAP to procure direct/indirect materials for daily production and operations
• Assist with supplier contract negotiations and develop contract documentation
• Oversee invoice resolution activities as needed
• Oversee supplier evaluations, onboarding, relationship management, and meetings
• Visit suppliers to verify capabilities, quality, and capacity
• Advise operations and engineering on market conditions and lead times
• Identify and develop process improvement activities
• Obtain pricing and technical information from suppliers for other departments
• Stay updated on industry methods and equipment
• Attend equipment/product shows relevant to the concrete industry
• Participate in operations meetings and advise purchasing personnel
• Lead by example and uphold company philosophy of trust and innovation
• Perform other duties within scope of job responsibilities
