Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Houston, TX seeks a Part-Time Procurement Administrator to support bid management for the Louisiana LNG project. You will prepare bidders’ lists, issue bid requests, and coordinate with Engineering and suppliers to meet PO requirements.

The role emphasizes supplier performance monitoring, change management, and clear communications across project teams. It combines telework with required in-person attendance at the office or project site as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience or 6–9 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge and experience in purchase order administration including change management, monitoring supplier performance, backcharge procedures, and the resolution of claims and disputes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares bidders’ lists and qualifies bidders
• Communicates with Engineering to assist and/or guide them in the preparation of material requisitions for the procurement of materials and equipment and to achieve the understanding needed to process these requisitions
• Forms bid packages and issues bid requests, coordinates bidders’ questions, and receives bids
• Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations to award
• Communicates with suppliers and personnel within Bechtel to establish clear definition of requirements and to assure performance to purchase order requirements
• Identifies, defines, and secures agreement regarding purchase order changes
• Initiates and processes purchase order revisions that establish scope and effects on cost and schedule of agreed upon changes
