Hunt Electric, a 100% employee-owned company in Georgetown, TX, seeks a Purchasing Specialist to manage procurement for our Baer Manufacturing operations. You will develop sourcing strategies, evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and align with centralized purchasing to support production targets.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Electrical, Manufacturing or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in procurement or supply chain management in electrical/manufacturing.
• Lean or relevant certification is a plus.
• Proven track record in supplier negotiations and cost management.
• Strong understanding of electrical components and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in procurement software and MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
• Independent worker who can also collaborate in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Support production by managing daily procurement activities using Remarcable software.
• Develop procurement strategies to meet production demands and cost objectives.
• Evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts with centralized purchasing guidance.
• Support inventory model development and ensure timely material delivery.
• Implement Vendor Managed Inventory with correct min/max quantities.
• Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with quality control to ensure material quality and BOM accuracy.
• Provide procurement metrics and regular cost/inventory reports.
