Job summary

OmniSite, a family-owned manufacturer specializing in remote alarm monitoring, seeks an experienced Order Management & Purchasing Specialist to support purchasing, inventory management, and customer order fulfillment.

In this role you will be the primary contact for purchasing, while assisting customers with order entry, status updates, and returns. The position emphasizes supplier relationships, pricing negotiations, and ensuring timely materials for production.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in SCM or related field with purchasing experience.
• Experience working with customers and vendors in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience negotiating with vendors and managing supplier relationships.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Odoo, QuickBooks or similar).
• Strong Excel, Outlook, and MS Office skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders and perform order entry.
• Follow up with customers regarding order status.
• Coordinate lead times and delivery expectations.
• Create and manage purchase orders based on sales trends.
• Monitor vendor order status and delivery schedules.
• Negotiate pricing and purchasing agreements with vendors.
• Coordinate vendor returns and warranty issues.
• Support cost reduction initiatives through supplier negotiations.
