Job summary

Jobot seeks an experienced Purchasing / Materials Manager in Pottstown, PA to lead procurement and material management for fabrication operations. You will source raw materials, manage vendor relationships, and optimize inventory to support production deadlines.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing procurement, strong negotiation skills, ERP/MRP experience, and Excel proficiency. A Bachelor’s in Business or Supply Chain is preferred but not required with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or materials management experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of steel, metals, and manufacturing supply chains.
• Experience purchasing steel coil, sheet metal, tubing, hardware, or similar materials.
• Strong supplier negotiation and vendor management experience.
• Experience with ERP/MRP purchasing and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase raw materials including steel coil, sheet metal, structural tubing, hardware, and other fabrication materials.
• Develop and maintain relationships with metals suppliers, distributors, and service centers; negotiate pricing and delivery terms.
• Forecast material needs with production; maintain inventory levels and prevent shortages.
• Create, track, and reconcile purchase orders using ERP/MRP systems.
• Coordinate with Quality to review material certifications and resolve issues.
