Job summary

The role involves vendor evaluation, cost and quality negotiations, PO management, supplier visits, and collaboration with operations to align with production schedules and annual budgeting.

Qualifications

• BS in materials management, business management, or related discipline; Associate’s Degree may be considered with experience.
• Minimum 5 years purchasing experience.
• Experience in manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials and components for production and evaluate new vendors.
• Negotiate cost, delivery and quality on assigned commodities.
• Create, submit, communicate and expedite purchase orders.
• Site visits to suppliers’ facilities.
• Assist Director of Operations in developing the annual purchasing budget and departmental goals.
• Plan material needs with the production planning department to support schedules.
