Chapin International in Batavia, NY seeks a Purchasing Manager to lead the purchasing department, secure materials at optimal price and delivery, and maintain inventory per budget. The role involves vendor evaluation, PO management, and cross-functional collaboration to support production schedules.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in materials management or related field, 5 years of purchasing experience, and manufacturing experience. This is a full-time on-site position in Batavia, NY.

Qualificações

• BS in materials management, business management or related discipline (Associate’s Degree may be considered based on experience).
• 5 years purchasing experience.
• Experience in manufacturing environment.

Responsabilidades

• Procurement of materials and components required for production and manufacturing support, including identifying and evaluating new vendors.
• Negotiate for best cost, delivery and quality on assigned commodities.
• Create, submit, communicate and expedite purchase orders.
• Site visits to suppliers’ facilities.
• Assist Director of Operations in development of annual purchasing budget and departmental goals.
• Plan material needs with production planning to support schedules and provide feedback on concerns.
• Provide reports and other information to management.
