Job summary

SOMACIS, Inc. in Poway, CA is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead procurement operations, drive cost optimization, and ensure uninterrupted supply for the PCB manufacturing plant.

The role combines strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, ERP stewardship, and hands-on supervision of the purchasing team.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree, 5–7 years in manufacturing procurement, and strong negotiation and analytics skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of progressive procurement experience in manufacturing/industrial environments, with 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Advanced ERP proficiency (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and strong data analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the plant's purchasing team to align with production needs and procedures.
• Oversee end-to-end PO lifecycle and MRP signal processing for accuracy.
• Develop risk-mitigation strategies to safeguard supply continuity.
• Lead high-value supplier negotiations and manage SLAs and delivery terms.
• Maintain accurate purchasing master data and drive process improvements.
