Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Buyer to manage procurement of PCB FAB materials including laminate, prepreg, copper foils and related items. The role also supports capital equipment procurement, service contracts, and other projects.

You will analyze demand data via Oracle ERP to set safety stock, maintain vendor relationships, execute purchasing transactions, and pursue cost reductions while meeting quality and schedule goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
• 5+ years experience in manufacturing purchasing and materials control.
• PCB FAB experience preferred.
• Experience with Oracle or other ERP system preferred.
• Strong relationship building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/deadlines and deliver high quality results.

Responsibilities

• Analyze demand/MRP data in Oracle ERP to determine optimal safety stock, inventory levels and order quantities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with core vendors and brokers/distributors.
• Make timely purchasing transactions to meet quality, schedule and cost objectives.
• Work with internal teams and suppliers to reduce costs and inventory levels.
• Identify root causes of material shortages and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain purchasing data in the Oracle system and run monthly reports.
