Job summary

The position supports the Purchasing Director with subcontractor onboarding, options mapping, and community build-out execution. You will scrub budgets and negotiate pricing to drive cost reductions.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in estimating or purchasing in residential construction, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• At least two years of estimating or purchasing experience for a production residential builder.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Experience with New Star Enterprise or equivalent software and electronic take off is preferred but not required.
• MS Office proficiency and spreadsheets.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist Purchasing Director with implementation of new subcontractors.
• Implement options mapping and new community build out as directed.
• Scrub jobs to ensure budget accuracy.
• Negotiate subcontractor pricing to achieve cost reductions.
• Find qualified trade partners for cost-effective construction and quality.
